I look for new and unique ways to think about skill synergy, and at all times I'll try to use underused skills or classes for new and creative ways. I'm pretty notorious for out-there builds that actually work.
For that same reason, I'm generally not into much PvP aside from lower forms of it like AB and RA. I can't stand how stagnant it gets with thisways and thatways, metas and using "acceptable" builds. I see build theory as puzzles to solve, and getting something unorthodox to come out successful is always gratifying. I tend to be pretty critical of other people's builds when I party up with them, it was a habit I picked up when I started playing and hooked up and learned from an established build-maker (with whom I still play and share builds).
I tend to make healers and casters, but I'll also make physical casters. My favorite classes are the Ritualist and Dervish for their versatile skillsets and play styles. I'm a strong believer in Dervish Healers and an anti-spirit Ritualist generally.
At the release of Guild Wars 2, I'm going to immediately start working towards making a 6-guild alliance based around free-form, bring-your-own-build, inner-alliance GvGs. No pressure and lots of friendly competition in a fun PvP medium. For a mostly full readup on it, check it out in my comment in this build.
I'm in college for Communication Design: learning Graphic Design, Illustration, Advertising, and Interactive Design. It's a shit-ton of work, so I don't get to play much, if ever. I write this as I'm on summer break and resubmerge myself in Guild Wars. My dad plays, and we'll go on vanqs or dungeons or stuff pretty regularly when I'm free.
I'm always playing, if I'm on at all, my Ritualist Uriyu Setsuta. Feel free to ping me if you have any questions or wanna say hey. Chances are good if I know you from here I'll be happy to chat.
