This is not an all-inclusive listing. Additional rules may be added as necessary.
You will not receive any warnings for voilating any of the following rules regarding unacceptable content, you will simply be permanently banned.
In publicly accessible areas, refrain from posting intentionally offensive content (e.g. racist comments, shock images, unnecessarily explicit language, etc.). In private areas, such as guild discussions or other private areas, content enforcement is the responsibility of the members who are in charge of those spaces.
The following are fairly common sense guidelines for public areas. Breaking these guidelines will result in a warning, repeated violations will result in a permanent ban.
Disagreements are to be expected, but the rest of the members might not want to read a bunch of flames and it isn't exactly good content for archiving. Either learn to agree to disagree or take your flame war to private messages or email.
Using titles like help me please!!!!!!
does not help people who might be able to help you. If you have a descriptive title like I'm lost on the Quest for the Holy Grail
, you're more likely to get a quick, helpful response. This is not just a place to answer your questions, but to also help others who might have similar questions or problems find the answer. By using helpful titles, people can easily find what they're looking for, rather than posting the same question again.
If someone is asking for strategies to complete a particular quest, it's inappropriate to hijack the discussion and talk about how your guild totally ganked that person the night before. If you want to talk about something different, start a new discussion or try to find a discussion already in progress about your topic.
So, you have a great site you'd like to promote. That doesn't mean it's ok to post it anywhere and everywhere. Advertisements are acceptable only if they are on topic and are not posted excessively. Advertising for non-game related sites is absolutely prohibited.
Bumping topics is not allowed. Do not post needless replies with the intent of keeping that topic at the top of the list. Other people's topics are just as important as yours.
Using AOLBonics, TXT speak, 3133t speak, etc. is not allowed. The letter u is not an abbreviation for the word you. We are understanding if English is not your first language or if you make a few typos here and there (though we recommend you use a browser that offers spell checking, like Opera). Just try to make yourself clear and understandable.
